​CESS COLLECTION

As per the provisions of the Building and other construction workers welfare cess Act, 1996 cess is levied on all such construction activities which are covered under the Act at a rate of one percent of the total cost of construction. This whole amount of Cess is utilised for the funding of the welfare schemes for the workers. Till now UP BOC Board has collected about 600 crores of amount as Cess and fourteen welfare schemes are running now and few more are proposed.
